Annual Events

Our vibrant student community not only participates enthusiastically in annual events to express and showcase its creative energies but also organises these large events with facilitation from teachers. In the process, students learn life skills such as decision making, problem solving, creative thinking, critical thinking, effective communication, interpersonal relationship skills, self-awareness, empathy, coping with emotion and stress.

HXLS annual events include:

Kala Parv
Kala Parv

Kala Parv, a week long annual Art Fest, gives students, teachers and parents an opportunity to associate with varied aspects of the visual arts. Kala Parv is designed as an annual expedition of four months, which culminates in the exhibition of all forms of visual arts.

Organised by student clubs, this rock band competition not only sees the creative musical energies of bands from across the NCR competing in a high octane environment but also the showcasing of some original talent. The bands are judged by well-known musicians on individual professionalism, choice of song, band synchronisation and chemistry, presentation and stage presence and technical presence.

While this annual event provides a platform for students to take to the stage to perform music, dance or drama in a carnival-like ambience featuring games, rides and food, it is also a powerful tool for the students to discover their strengths and develop a higher order of self-awareness. Not only is the student’s perspective enlarged but Yujan’s stage also expands beyond the classroom, curriculum and comfort levels.

Heritage Xperiential Model United Nations Conference

The Heritage Xperiential Model United Nations Conference (XMUN) is a simulation of the United Nations, complete with agendas, country delegates, and committees. It is a unique platform for young minds to analyse, debate and ponder over global issues. It not only makes one aware of the world, but is also one of the best ways to acquire professional and leadership skills. The event is organised by the MUN Society and entirely headed by a group of student leaders who are involved in the planning and execution to make the conference successful.
