Clubs and Societies

Student-led clubs and societies play an important role in student empowerment and engagement with deeper learning at HXLS. They provide a platform for students to:

• Engage in and realise their aspirations, interests and passions outside the academic spectrum
• Direct students’ interests and passions
• Develop leadership skills

HXLS has over 20 clubs and societies that embody the democratic spirit of by the students, of the students and for the students. Mandatory student club meetings are held after school hours on Wednesdays. Students from Grade 9 upwards can form a group and create their own interest-based club as well. Student leaders are elected from within each club.
