ARIANA ABADIAN HEIFETZ

Author and Consultant on Leadership Development, Empowerment and Gender Discrimination
Ariana is the creator of the Human Framework, and works with adults and children at all levels of the school community to foster emotional intelligence, leadership, conflict resolution skills, and mindfulness of social-conditioning through workshops and curriculum development. She formerly worked for the Rajiv Gandhi Mahila Vikas Pariyojana in Uttar Pradesh as a Program Expert on Leadership and Communications where she led trainings for young women on menstrual hygiene and discriminatory social myths. She has authored a graphic novel, ‘Spreading Your Wings,’ to inspire mindset shifts around menstrual hygiene and the female body, which is published by Zubaan Publishers. She has been a visiting faculty for I am a Teacher for the last 5 years, in addition to working as the Deputy Director at The United State of Women, Washington, D.C. While Deputy Director she collaborated with the Obama Administration’s White House Council on Women and Girls to launch the first United State of Women Summit. She is a graduate of Carleton College, USA.

EZETTE GRAUF
Head, Teaching and Learning
Over 20 years of experience as a Leader in Education
Ezette is an internationally respected leader in education strategy, redefinition of curriculum and pedagogical change. She has designed and implemented curriculum frameworks internationally, most recently in Australia and the Middle East and was the head of curriculum for the Government of Abu Dhabi. She has also held Directorship and Principal positions in various locations around the world. Ezette holds Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts degrees with a double major in Linguistics and Literature and also holds numerous other graduate diplomas including the Teaching of Reading.

KEVIN BRADY
Head, Senior Programme
Specialist in curriculum design and school administration
Kevin has extensive experience in providing daily leadership, oversight and operational management. In one of his previous assignments, he has designed and established one of the most ambitious and respected education programmes in the state of Pennsylvania, USA. His most recent assignment was to design and implement a curriculum for Global Culture and History. He headed a team of veteran education professionals and has been based in the NCR region for the last two years. Kevin is a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from Drew University. He also has a Pennsylvania Principal Certification and an Educational Leadership and Administration Certification from Drexel University. Though originally from the US, Kevin is well inducted into the Indian cultural context as well as curriculum.

LALIT JAIN

Over 25 years of experience in development of educational institutions.
Lalit Jain has founded and led many entrepreneurial ventures in social as well as corporate sectors in technology, education and infrastructure development. A civil engineer by qualification, he has successfully spearheaded critical projects for the development of The Heritage Schools. He also serves as a member on the board of The Heritage Schools.

MANIT JAIN

Manit has been actively involved with HXLS in an advisory capacity on several strategic issues including infrastructure development, talent attraction, curriculum design, teacher capability development, parent engagement, systems, processes and standard operational procedures. He has personally championed and led several change initiatives to transform the school into an experiential learning school. He is also the co-founder of I am a Teacher, an initiative that is developing a model for practice-based teacher education in collaboration with Boston Teacher Residency.

MEENU SOOD

A trained Instructional Coach, Meenu works closely with parents and the Special Education Needs
department. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and in Education. She holds a
certificate in Family Engagement from HarvardX.

MUDIT MEHROTRA
Chief Operating Officer
Specialist in organizational management
Mudit has led educational start-ups and a chain of schools over the last 10 years. His aspiration has been to offer equal opportunities of learning to students from metros and smallest towns of India. These institutions were recognised for their progressive pedagogical practices like learning by doing, discovery of self, mind-body fitness, social responsibility, interdisciplinary and socio-cultural based curriculum and instruction design-based education delivery. An engineer with a post graduation degree from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, he feels fortunate to have received opportunities to serve the nation first as Aircraft Design Engineer at HAL, Ministry of Defence and then as a Practice Head (Govt.) of a global consulting firm. He cherishes his deep engagements with several Navratna PSUs, Scientific Laboratories, Police forces and large Indian conglomerates. Mudit was invited to serve in Indian Institute of Management, Indore Industry Institute Office. He is currently in the Core Committee of National Council of Teacher Education(NCTE), Govt of India initiative to build “institutions of excellence”.

MIGUEL VAZQUEZ GOMEZ

Miguel is an expert in the college application and funding process, specialising in finding a true ‘fit’ for each individual student. He has extensive experience in advising creative and culturally diverse students for their successful matriculation to a college or university of their choice. He has placed over 100 students annually to some of the most prestigious and selective colleges and universities in the USA and Canada. Miguel has a B.A. in English Literature from the University of San Diego, USA, and a certification in Fundraising and Development from the University of Pennsylvania, USA.

NEENA KAUL

Over 20 years of experience in leading schools
Neena truly believes that education is the only medium that can create human beings with goodness that arises out of harmony between the mind and the heart, where there is craving to learn and grow with objectivity, and an urge to seek a balanced and contended life. Children if educated well can transform the society. With this vision at its core, Neena has served as an educator for the past 26 years in several roles starting from that of a Teacher, Principal and a Director. Her passion for teaching and her love for children got her to work “with” children and not just “for” them. She became a Principal at the early age of 26 and has established four top quality schools as the founding Principal. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and a Bachelor’s Degree in Science.

Nilam Sharma brings with her more than 25 years of dedicated work in the field of education with 10 years as the Head of the Primary Programme at The Heritage Schools. Her main contribution to primary school education has been to enable learning that demands dialogue with the sciences, humanities, art, literature and poetry through stories, music and play in a dream to serve childhood itself. Her prime contribution has been in the areas of teachers and curriculum development. In her pursuit of quality education, she has travelled extensively within the country and abroad to learn and expand her own horizons as an educator and leader.

NOORA FATIMA NOUSHAD
Mentor - Design & Technology
Specialist in Digital Literacy and Maker – Centred Pedagogy
Noora joins us from The University of Pennsylvania where she holds an M.S.Ed in Learning Sciences and Technology. At Heritage Xperiential Learning School, she pioneers Design Thinking and Maker Mindset as part of the curriculum, further driving the school’s experiential and project-based pedagogy. She is a published learning scientist who has led multiple initiatives on imparting mobile computing skills to middle school students across public and private schools in the United States of America. She has led research on the Milken-funded project, Code for Philadelphia, a curriculum that focused on building students’ engagement in STEM through the creation of mobile apps. Her work has been presented at Computer Supported Collaborative Learning Conference in London and published in the International Journal of Learning Sciences.

RAJESH JAIN

Rajesh has over 25 years of experience in setting up and leading organisations across diverse sectors such as real estate, education, export manufacturing and information & technology. Apart from this, he has also provided direction to a multitude of social initiatives in the healthcare and education verticals. A second-generation entrepreneur, he provides strategic direction to all entities under the Conscient umbrella. In the education space, he has also co-founded the Heritage School in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi in 1999.

REKHA BHANOT
Junior Programme Coordinator
Over 16 years of experience in primary education
Rekha has contributed significantly to curriculum design and pedagogy coaching in HXLS. She has
worked in building foundational literacy and numeracy programmes embedded in meaningful
experiences for children. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Foods
and Nutrition.

RESHMI DASTIDAR
Head – Middle Programme
Over 16 years of experience in middle and high school education
Reshmi has worked extensively in the field of designing assessments that empower students to take
charge of their own learning. She has also worked as an Instructional Coach, mentoring teachers.
Reshmi has a Master’s degree in Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Education.
