Khoj update grade 5A & 5E

The children reached safely to the farm in Jhajjar  at 9 a.m.  They were welcomed with a glass of warm milk and breakfast.

At 9:30 a.m, the children went to the fields to review their crops which gave them immense pleasure. They excitedly set to harvest peas, garlic and carrots.  At 11: 20 a.m., they enjoyed the much – needed juice break.

Later in their class groups, children observed the plants carefully and discussed their growth in comparison to their previous visit. This will strengthen their learning of the crop cycle which they have been doing in class.

The children will then take a tour of the farm with the aim of observing the farmer’s lifestyle, their cattle, certain tools and machinery that has been procured particularly to help in natural farming.

They will be served lunch at 1:15 p.m. At about 2:00 p.m., they will meet their farmer and continue their interview to collect information for the purpose of writing the biography of their farmer. This biography will also be the end product of our expedition.

At 3:00 p.m. student will collect their rightfully earned harvest. We request you to check for SMS from school about arrival time of students.
